About Me

I am George Kapten, MSc, a researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Science, with a focus on radiology and data-driven healthcare solutions. My academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics and Statistics and a Master of Biomedical Science, complemented by certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics Engineering, Software Development, and Project Management.

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Researcher at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) within the Radiology Division, where I contribute to projects integrating AI into medical imaging to enhance diagnostics and clinical decision-making. Previously, I served as the Principal Investigator for the project “Dietary Prescription Adherence Among Adults with Chronic Kidney Disease on Hemodialysis (CARTA)” at the East Africa Kidney Institute.

Beyond research, I possess strong technical expertise in robotics engineering, software development, and full-stack web development (front-end and back-end). My work involves designing and implementing AI-powered solutions, user-centric digital platforms, and advanced data analysis tools for healthcare applications.

I am passionate about advancing the role of AI and technology in biomedical research to improve patient outcomes, optimize healthcare processes, and drive innovation in medical science.
